1. Nature of the Service
Passaic Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public record indexes, official portals, and historical collections connected with Passaic, New Jersey. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with any office, court, library, archive, or records custodian.
2. Permitted Use
Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or information reached through it, to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person.
- Seek the location of a person protected by a restraining or protective order.
- Commit fraud, impersonation, or identity theft.
- Make a decision the Fair Credit Reporting Act regulates.
- Scrape, copy, or republish content at scale.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the service.
3. Consumer Reporting Status
This is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing on this service or returned by a linked search tool is a consumer report. It may not be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.
4. Outside Resources
Government portals and sponsored or other third-party services have their own terms, availability, pricing, and privacy practices. We do not control or guarantee those resources.
5. Warranty Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that content is complete, accurate, current, uninterrupted, or that a linked source will return a particular result.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from use of this service or a linked resource, including a decision based on material found through it.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the service operators from claims or demands, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, resulting from misuse of the service or a violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original text, layout, design, and logo are protected by copyright. Linking to a page or quoting a short attributed excerpt is permitted. Republishing full pages or systematically copying content is not.
9. Term Updates
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continued use after the change is posted means acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Restricting Access
We may block or limit access, without notice, for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service.
11. New Jersey Law
These terms are governed by New Jersey law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Public-record access described by the service is subject to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act, P.L. 2001, c.404, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., and to record-specific restrictions, exemptions, and redactions.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
